Duncan Mighty, a Nigerian singer, and songwriter has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen, months after raising the alarm over threat to his life.

YaahooJournalist reports that the Port Harcourt based musician was kidnapped in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, Southeast Nigeria.

Although details of his abduction are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, there are indications that he was beaten mercilessly before he was whisked away.

Duncan Mighty‘s abduction was announced by Celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest, who is the owner of Club Cubana in a post on social media network, Instagram.

Cubana Chief Priest said the “Port Harcourt boy” crooner was beaten and abducted by the gunmen amid gunshots.

”Duncan Mighty beaten up and picked up by unknown gunmen in Owerri after numerous gunshots. Pray for Duncan Mighty,” Cubana posted.

YaahooJournalist reports that Duncan Mighty’s abduction is coming three months after he raised the alarm over threat to his life after receiving money from former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha.

The musician took to his Instagram page in October to beg him to return the alleged money given to him by Okorocha to record a song, adding that his life has been threatened since Okorocha allegedly paid the money to him.

Duncan Mighty wrote in October: “Your Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, compliments of the season. I am writing to inform you that my life is being threatened because of the money you paid for me to record a song with one of your boys.

“After I recorded the song prior to doing a video, I have been invited to the police and several threats have been issued to my life.

“Please, I want to return the money to you to avoid further embarrassment to my person.”

Please, note that this is a developing story, please check back for more details…
