Ifeanyi Ubah has defeated APGA’s Soludo and PDP’s Ozigbo.

Newsone reports that the senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has won his local government area, Nnewi North in the ongoing Anambra governorship election.

This online news platform understands that Ifeanyi Ubah, the candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the ongoing Anambra election, defeated top challengers, Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.

Newsone reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), returning officer for the local government, Prof Joachim, announced Ifeanyi Ubah as the winner.

Senator Ubah polled 6,485 votes to beat the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, which polled 3,369.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that so far, INEC has announced 10 local government areas, out of the 21 in the state, with nine already won by APGA and her candidate, Charles Soludo. Nnewi North LGA is the first to be won by a party other than APGA.
