Kashim Shettima has been sworn in as Nigeria’s Vice President.
Newsone reports that Senator Kashim Shettima has become the 16th Vice President of Nigeria. He succeeds Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who leaves office today, Monday, May 29.
This online news platform understands that Kashim Shettima was sworn in at Eagles Square with the Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Olukayode Ariwoola administering the oath of office on the Vice President at 10:30 am.
While taking the oath of office, Shettima said: “I, Kashim Shettima, do solemnly swear that I will not allow my personal interests to influence my official conduct or decisions… So help me, God.”
