Kogi Assembly has suspended 9 lawmakers and 5 Local Government Chairman.

Newsone reports that nine members of the Kogi State House of Assembly in Kogi State, northcentral Nigeria, have been suspended.

This online news platform understands that the Kogi Assembly equally suspended nine Local Government Chairman in the state.

Amongst those suspended by the Kogi Assembly were the majority leader of the House, Muhammed Bajeh, and the Lokoja council chairman, Muhammed Dan-Asebe for misappropriation of funds.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the suspension of the lawmakers in some quarters had also been linked to anti-party activities in the last Saturday House of Assembly election.
