Kwara Gov. Appoints 26-Year-Old Corper As Commissioner
The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has appointed Miss Joana Nnazua Kolo, a serving 26-year-old female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), as a commissioner.
YaahooJournalist reports that the 26-Year-old Youth Corper was among the four female commissioner-nominees whose names were forwarded to the Kwara State House of Assembly on Tuesday, September 17.
According to reports, the 26-Year-old Youth Corper is the youngest commissioner-nominee in Kwara state history.
Miss Kolo is a 2018 graduate of Library Science from the Kwara State University (KWASU) in Kwara, north-central Nigeria.
According to reports, the 26-Year-old Youth Corper is an ardent advocate of community development.
If Miss Kolo’s appointment is confirmed, the 26-Year-old Youth Corper would be Nigeria’s youngest commissioner, replacing Oluwaseun Fakorede, a 27-year-old commissioner in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed Kwara commissioner is still observing her NYSC programme in Jigawa, where she is teaching at Model Boarding Junior Secondary School Guri.
Miss Kolo’s screening for the cabinet seat would hold after the 26-Year-old Youth Corper rounds off her NYSC service in the next two weeks, the reports added.
