Lagos State has recorded 3 new Coronavirus deaths due to COVID-19 related complications.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the update from the Lagos State Ministry of Health via its official Twitter handle, @LSMOH, said all three Coronavirus deaths are males, aged 51, 52 and 62.

“This brings to 10, the number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos State,” the tweet reads. “One of the deceased; a medical doctor had contact with an infected person who recently returned to the country. #StayAtHome” it adds.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the other two Coronavirus deaths have no history of travelling out of the country, or any contact with any of the confirmed cases, confirming the rise in community transmission as the Lagos State Health Commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi had pointed out.

Just like the Lagos State Ministry of Health tweeted, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, on Thursday, announced the death of three coronavirus patients.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health said via his verified Twitter account, that the deceased are three males, who are 51, 52 and 62 years old.

“Unfortunately, Lagos recorded three additional deaths from #COVID-19 related complications. The deceased are males aged 51, 52 and 62.

“One of the dead; a medical doctor had contact with an infected person who recently returned to the country.

“Other victims have no travel history or record of contact with any infected person. Total #COVID-19 related deaths are now 10. I hereby urge Lagosians to remain vigilant and report any concern about #COVID-19 infection in our communities,” he said.
