Newsone reports that there was tension in the early hours of Wednesday, October 26, 2022, as fire gutted the West Africa Examinations Council, WAEC building in the Yaba area of Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial city.

This online news platform understands that the Lagos WAEC office fire has left many people feared trapped in the building as the fire rages in WAEC National Office.

Though Newsone Nigeria reports that the cause of the Lagos WAEC office fire is yet to be ascertained, emergency responders are at the scene and the fire was being put off.

Newsone gathered that the WAEC National Office fire was caused by a power surge in one of the offices, which immediately went wild. Smoke was earlier seen oozing at the top of the high-rise building as the fire was burning within its office rooms.
