BREAKING: Many Injured As Two BRT Buses Collide in Lagos [Video]

BRT Buses collision in Lagos has left many people injured.

Newsone reports that an accident involving a BRT bus occurred on Tuesday morning on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

This online news platform understands that an eyewitness, Raymond confirmed the accident in a post on the micro-blogging site, X formerly known as Twitter saying; “Along the Ikeja Cement Bus Stop BRT corridor, a ghastly accident involving two BRT buses with at least one critical injury amongst varying injuries to occupants of the buses.

“LASTMA officials on the ground with zero medical team to attend to the injured.”

Also sharing a video from the scene on its X page, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) wrote, “A serious accident has occurred on the BRT corridor, just in front of Conoil at Valley Estate, inward Ile Zik on Lagos Abeokuta Expressway.

“Effect of this occurrence on traffic is minimal, however, our officers, as well as all other concerned authorities, including men of the Nigerian Police Force are on the ground doing the needful.”

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that this is not the first time an incident has happened with the BRT buses in Lagos state. Some months back, a BRT bus collided with a train leading to the death and injury of passengers who were civil servants.
