Many Offices Burnt As Fire Razes Kano Police Headquarters
Fire has razed Kano Police Headquarters.
News One reports that the Kano Police headquarters situated at Bompai, Nasarawa Local Government, northern Nigeria is reported to be on fire, with many offices and files suspected to be burnt to ashes.
This online news platform understands that the Kano State Fire Service is set to have since deployed to the scene to contain the raging fire on the one-storey building of the command.
News One Nigeria gathered that the entire upstairs was caught up in fire except for the office of the State Police Commissioner, Mamman Dauda, which is highly fortified.
According to witnesses, the fire started at about 2 pm and affected structures from the Provost’s Office down to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Although the Kano State Police Command spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa phone was switched off at the time of this report, sources said the cause of the inferno could not be immediately verified.
