Abba Kyari Dies Of COVID-19
The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari has died of COVID-19, four weeks after testing positive to the disease.
Newsone Nigeria reports that Abba Kyari died on Friday, April 17.
Femi Adesina, spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari announced his death on micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Saturday, April 18.
He tweeted, “The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.
“May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.”

Personal Assistant on New Media to President Buhari, Bashir Ahmad confirmed the death of the Chief of staff on Twitter.
He wrote: “It was Mallam Abba Kyari’s turn last night, my time and your time will definitely come no matter how long it may take. And none of us will be here and healthy in the next 150 years.
“If you just woke up, our boss, Mallam Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to the President, has passed away, he died last night from the deadly pandemic, #COVID19. Please pray for him.”
