The first Coronavirus in Africa has been recorded in Egypt.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that Egypt’s health ministry confirmed its first case of the novel coronavirus on Friday, February 14, making it the first in Africa.

This online burgeoning news platform understands that the nationality of the person was not given in the joint statement with the population ministry, which added that they had shown no “symptoms”.

NewsOne Nigeria learned that authorities have notified the World Health Organization and the patient has been placed in isolation in a hospital for treatment and monitoring.
