Fire Razes Balogun Market In Lagos (Video)

Balogun Market, a popular commercial nerve located on Lagos Island has been engulfed by fire.

YaahooJournalist reports that the incident occurred on Wednesday, a few hours after the Sagamu Sabo market in Ogun State was also destroyed by fire on Tuesday, January 28.

This online news medium understands that Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyitolu, the Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), has confirmed the incident.

As at the time of filing this report, the LASEMA DG said that the agency is yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.

The LASEMA was also unable to state the number of properties or people affected by the inferno.

He, however, assured that LASEMA officials are already doing their best to quench the fire.

This is the second time in two months that the Balogun Market would be razed by fire, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
