The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi West, north-central Nigeria, Taiwo Kola-Ojo, is dead.

YaahooJournalist reports that the PDP Chairman reportedly slumped and died on Tuesday evening, January 7 while playing lawn tennis.

The Kogi PDP Publicity Secretary, Bode Ogunmola, confirmed Kola-Ojo’s death in a statement on Wednesday, January 8.

In the statement, Ogunmola described the death of Kola-Ojo as sudden and shocking.

The statement recognized the many contributions of the late chairman to the growth and success of the party in the state

Ogunmola in the statement prayed God to grant the immediate family members of the deceased Chairman and the members of the party the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
