Nigeria Records 196 COVID-19 Cases, See Breakdown For Each State

Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 196 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 196 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Wednesday evening, April 29.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 196 COVID-19 cases recorded on Wednesday evening, 87 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, 24-Kano 18-Gombe 17-Kaduna 16-FCT 10-Katsina 8-Sokoto 7-Edo 6-Borno 1-Yobe 1-Ebonyi 1-Adamawa, northern Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: “196 new cases of #COVID19 reported; 87-Lagos 24-Kano 18-Gombe 17-Kaduna 16-FCT 10-Katsina 8-Sokoto 7-Edo 6-Borno 1-Yobe 1-Ebonyi 1-Adamawa As at 11:55 pm 29th April- 1728 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 307 Deaths: 51,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to One thousand and seven hundred and twenty-eight (1728) with three hundred and seven (307) people discharged and fifty-one (51) deaths recorded so far.
