BREAKING: Nigeria Records 226 COVID-19 Cases, See Breakdown For Each State

Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 226 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 226 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Tuesday evening, May 18.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 226 COVID-19 cases recorded on Tuesday evening, 131 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, 25-Ogun 15-Plateau 11-Edo 7-Kaduna 6-Oyo 5-FCT 5-Adamawa 4-Jigawa 4-Ebonyi 4-Borno 3-Nasarawa 2-Bauchi 2-Gombe 1-Enugu 1-Bayelsa, south-south Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: “226 new cases of #COVID19; 131-Lagos 25-Ogun 15-Plateau 11-Edo 7-Kaduna 6-Oyo 5-FCT 5-Adamawa 4-Jigawa 4-Ebonyi 4-Borno 3-Nasarawa 2-Bauchi 2-Gombe 1-Enugu 1-Bayelsa 6401 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 1734 Deaths: 192,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to six thousand, four hundred and one (6401) with one thousand, seven hundred and thirty-four (1734) people discharged and one hundred and ninety-two (192) deaths recorded so far.
