Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 229 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 229 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday evening, May 25.
This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 229 COVID-19 cases recorded on Sunday evening, 90 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Katsina-27 Imo-26 Kano-23 FCT-14 Plateau-12 Ogun-9 Delta-7 Borno-5 Rivers-5 Oyo-4 Gombe-3 Osun-2 Anambra-1 Bayelsa-1, south-east Nigeria.
The NCDC tweeted: “229 new cases of #COVID19; Lagos-90 Katsina-27 Imo-26 Kano-23 FCT-14 Plateau-12 Ogun-9 Delta-7 Borno-5 Rivers-5 Oyo-4 Gombe-3 Osun-2 Anambra-1 Bayelsa-1 8068 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 2311 Deaths: 233,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to eight thousand and sixty-eight (8068) with two thousand, three hundred and eleven (2311) people discharged and two hundred and thirty-three (233) deaths recorded so far.
