Nigeria has recorded new Coronavirus cases with the NCDC announcing 260 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 260 new Coronavirus cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Sunday evening, June 7.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 260 COVID-19 cases recorded on Saturday evening, 38 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Abia-67 FCT-40, Ogun-19 Gombe-16 Edo-14 Imo-9 Kwara-8 Katsina-8 Nasarawa-8 Borno-8 Kaduna-6 Bauchi-5 Ekiti-4 Niger-2 Ondo-2 Plateau-2 Kano-2 Sokoto-2, northern Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: “260 new cases of #COVID19; Abia-67 FCT-40 Lagos-38 Ogun-19 Gombe-16 Edo-14 Imo-9 Kwara-8 Katsina-8 Nasarawa-8 Borno-8 Kaduna-6 Bauchi-5 Ekiti-4 Niger-2 Ondo-2 Plateau-2 Kano-2 Sokoto-2 12486 cases of #COVID19Nigeria Discharged: 3959 Deaths: 354,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to twelve thousand, four hundred and eighty-six (12486) with three thousand, nine hundred and fifty-nine (3826) people discharged and three and fifty-four (354) deaths recorded so far.
