Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 284 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 284 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Wednesday evening, May 20.
This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 284 COVID-19 cases recorded on Wednesday evening, 199 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city,26-Rivers 19-Oyo 8-FCT 8-Borno 7-Plateau 6-Jigawa 5-Kano 2-Abia 1-Ekiti 1-Delta 1-Kwara 1-Taraba, northern Nigeria.
The NCDC tweeted: “284 new cases of #COVID19; 199-Lagos 26-Rivers 19-Oyo 8-FCT 8-Borno 7-Plateau 6-Jigawa 5-Kano 2-Abia 1-Ekiti 1-Delta 1-Kwara 1-Taraba 6677 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 1840 Deaths: 200,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to six thousand, six hundred and seventy-seven (6677) with one thousand, eight hundred and forty (1840) people discharged and two hundred (200) deaths recorded so far.
