Nigeria has recorded new Coronavirus cases with the NCDC announcing 649 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 649 new Coronavirus cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Wednesday evening, June 24.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 649 COVID-19 cases recorded on Wednesday evening, 250 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Oyo-100 Plateau-40 Delta-40 Abia-28 Kaduna-27 Ogun-22 Edo-20 Akwa Ibom-18 Kwara-17 FCT-17 Enugu-14 Niger-13 Adamawa-13 Bayelsa-7 Osun-6 Bauchi-6 Anambra-4 Gombe-3 Sokoto-2 Imo-1 Kano-1, northern Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: “649 new cases of #COVID19; Lagos-250 Oyo-100 Plateau-40 Delta-40 Abia-28 Kaduna-27 Ogun-22 Edo-20 Akwa Ibom-18 Kwara-17 FCT-17 Enugu-14 Niger-13 Adamawa-13 Bayelsa-7 Osun-6 Bauchi-6 Anambra-4 Gombe-3 Sokoto-2 Imo-1 Kano-1 22,020 cases 7,613 discharged 542 deaths,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, NewsOne Nigeria reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to twenty-two thousand and twenty (22,020) with seven thousand, six hundred and thirteen (7,613) people discharged and five hundred and forty-two (542) deaths recorded so far.
