Legendary musician, Daddy Showkey confirmed Mad Melon’s death on his Instagram handle on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
“What kind of sad news is this, what kind of sad news is this, what kind of sad news is this,” Showkey repeatedly said in his video.

YaahooJournalist recalls that Mad Melon and his music partner, Mountain Black, became popular as Danfo Driver after their album titled Danfo Driver in 2003.
However, the fame of “Danfo Driver” waned over the years but they made the news again in 2018 when they got into a content theft fight with Tekno, a Nigerian afrobeat star over the sampling of their popular song, ‘Kpolongo.’
