Newsone reports that English Premier League giants, Manchester United have officially parted company with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

This online news platform understands that Manchester United made the decision to part ways with Solsjaer amid a poor run of form with the latest being a shocking 4-1 defeat to Watford on Saturday afternoon.

Newsone Nigeria reports that Manchester United also confirmed that assistant coach Michael Carrick will lead the team temporarily as the club search for an interim successor for Ole Gunnar until the end of the 2021-22 season.

A club statement on Sunday morning, November 21, 2021, confirming that Ole Gunnar is gone as Manchester United manager reads as thus; “Manchester United announces that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as manager.

“Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision. While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success.

“Ole leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as manager and our very best wishes for the future.
