Newsone Nigeria reports that Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has relieved five ministers of their appointment with immediate effect.
The 5 Ministers sacked by President Tinubu include Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye, Minister of Women Affairs, Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism, Prof Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu, confirmed the development on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
The President also changed the nomenclature of the Ministry of Niger Delta, renaming it the Ministry of Regional
Development.
Newsone recalls that President Tinubu had threatened to sack some of his ministers found to have under-performed in the last year since the administration came on board.
