President Buhari has announced fresh appointments.
Newsone reports that Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of a Chairman and an Executive Secretary for the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).
This online news platform understands that President Buhari appointed Mr Atuonwo A. Obinna as PPPRA Chairman, while the Executive Secretary Mr Abdulkadir Saidu was reappointed for another four years.
A statement issued by Femi Adesina, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, said the appointment of Mr Atuonwo Obinna as Chairman Governing Board for a four-year term is in accordance with Section 2 (1-3) and 3 (a) of the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (Establishment, ETC) Act 2003.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the appointments by the President, is coming a day after he approved the appointment of Emmanuel Lyambee Jime as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council.
Jime, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, brings his wealth of experience to the new role having distinguished himself in several public offices.
Before his appointment, Jime was at a time Managing Director at the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA), a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Makurdi/Guma Federal constituency in Benue State between 2007 and 2015, and Speaker of the State House of Assembly from 1992 to 1993.
The appointment is for a renewable four-year tenure.
