President Muhammadu Buhari has made two (2) fresh appointments for his second term in office tagged “Next Level.”

YaahooJournalist reports that President Buhari approved the appointment of Mallam Garba Abubakar as the substantive Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

The appointment of Abubakar was contained in a letter signed on Tuesday by the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, OSGF.

YaahooJournalist understands that the letter also conveyed the appointment of Ademola Razak Seriki as the Chairman, Governing Board of the commission.

“Kindly note that the tenure of the appointments should be in line with the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act,” the letter stated.

Abubakar has been serving as the Director of Compliance at the Commission until his recent appointment, will take over from the embattled Azuka Azinge.

On the other hand,  Azinge has been the acting Registrar-General of the commission for more than two years until she was recently suspended by the Code of Conduct tribunal, following assets declaration issues, as well as some irregularities.
