Newsone Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, today, October 2, 2024, for the United Kingdom to commence a two-week vacation.
This online news platform understands that the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement where he noted that the vacation is part of the president’s annual leave.
“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms,” the statement reads.
“He will return to the country after the leave expires.”
Newsone recalls President Tinubu has embarked on official and unofficial trips to the UK and France since he was elected president in March 2023.
On August 29, Tinubu left Abuja for China, but stopped in Dubai before arriving in Beijing on September 1.
The Nigerian President returned to Abuja on September 16, after a “fruitful two-week trip” to China and the UK.
During the UK trip, the president met with King Charles III in London, where discussions on climate change were held.
