The Senate is currently quizzing Service Chiefs over insecurity in Nigeria.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the Service Chiefs arrived at the National Assembly on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in response to the Nigerian Senate resolution for interaction on the height of insecurity in the country.
This online news platform understands Service Chiefs arrived at the hallowed Chambers at 12.39 to meet with the Committee of the whole of Senators.
The Senate has suspended its rules to admit the Service Chiefs and Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on National Assembly Matters, Senator Abdullahi Gumel, into the upper chamber to brief the lawmakers on the general insecurity situation across the country.
They are also expected to brief the chamber on the infiltration of bandits and kidnappers into the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, to find a way to curb the menace of criminals in the country.
