Newsone reports that a civil rights activist and former Senator representing Kaduna Central at the 8th Nigerian Senate, Shehu Sani, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.

This online news platform understands that Senator Shehu Sani  officially defected from the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at a meeting with party executives on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Last month, Shehu Sani met with all the 23 local government Chairmen of the PDP in Kaduna State at his residence to discuss an approach towards the 2023 election before he joined the main opposition party today.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that Shehu Sani’s defection is coming on the day Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of Aviation, dumped the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
