Senegal Beat Morocco, Emerge AFCON 2025 Winners [Video]

Senegal have defeated Morocco to emerge AFCON 2025 winners.

Newsone Nigeria reports that Les Lions de la Teranga of Senegal defeated the Atlas Lions of Morocco on Sunday, January 18, 2026, to win the 2025 edition of the
Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

It was a tight affair between the top two-ranked countries on the continent in Rabat, Morocco, with the game producing no goals in the first half. The second half was tilting towards a 0-0 until the ref disallowed Ismaila Sarr’s header for a foul on Achraf Hakimi.
