Newsone Nigeria reports that the Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed the election of the Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling political party.
In a unanimous judgment, the Supreme Court dismissed the appellant by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship election, Emmanuel David Ombugadu it was without merit.
A five-member panel of the court, in a judgment a moment ago, dismissed the four appeals filed by PDP and its candidate.
Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, in the lead judgment, resolved all the issues identified for determination, against the PDP and Ombugadu. Justice Kekere-Ekun proceeded to dismiss the appeal.
