Supreme Court has delivered a final Verdict on Taraba Governorship Election.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed the election of the Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party..
A five-member panel of the court held in a unanimous judgment on Thursday, January 25, 2024, that the NNPP and its candidate failed to establish their case that Kefas was not elected by majority of valid votes.
Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, who read the lead judgment, held that the Court of Appeal was right to have easier dismissed the appeal on grounds of incomplete records of appeal.
The presiding judge affirmed the judgment of the Court of Appeal affirming Kefas’ election.
