The election of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has been affirmed by the Kano State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Kano, northern Nigeria.

YaahooJournalist reports that the Kano State Election Petition Tribunal delivered the final judgment on the Kano governorship election on Wednesday, October 2.

The Tribunal struck out the entire petition brought before it by Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging the declaration of Governor Ganduje as the winner of the March 9 governorship election in the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

YaahooJournalist reports that the chairman of the three-member panel, Justice Halima Shamaki, in a judgment read for over 3 hours at High Court, in miller road, Kano, dismissed the PDP’s petition seeking the nullification of Ganduje’s victory on March 9 Kano governorship election.
