The US has launched deadly strikes on terrorists in northern Nigeria.
Newsone Nigeria reports that the United States forces conducted deadly strikes against Islamic State terrorists in Northwestern Nigeria on Christmas Day, Thursday, 25 December 2025.
This online news platform understands that the United States President Donald Trump confirmed the deadly strikes on terrorists in northern Nigeria in a post on Truth Social, an American alt-tech social media platform owned by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), an American company majority-owned by the US President.
President Trump, who revealed that the US Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, warned of more attacks if the militants keep killing Christians.
The US President wrote: “Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even centuries!
“I have previously warned these terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was.
“The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing.
“Under my leadership, our country will not allow radical Islamic terrorism to prosper.
“May God bless our military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Newsone reports that the deadly strikes on terrorists in northern Nigeria by the US Department of War is coming a day after suspected Boko Haram insurgents detonated an improvised explosive device, IED, at a Juma’at Mosque in Gamboru Ward, around the Customs area in the heart of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, northern Nigeria.
