Buhari Presents 26 Documents At Presidential Election Tribunal

President Muhammadu Buhari has presented 26 documents in the process of opening his defence at the 2019 presidential election petition tribunal.

Yaahoo Journalist reports that the documents presented by the President on Tuesday, include copies of his academic credentials, comprising certified true copy (CTC) of the Confidential result sheet of the University of Cambridge, West Africa School Certificate 1961 for Provincial Secondary School, Katsina.

This online news medium understands that the President is listed as the second respondent in the petition by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging his (Buhari) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) election victory in the 2019 presidential election in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the President called his first witness at the election tribunal on Tuesday.

President Buhari’s first witness, Major General Paul Chabir Tarfa, revealed that he was a mate with President Buhari in the Nigerian Army and that they were all enlisted on April 16, 1962.

Major General Tarfa added that they were enlisted upon passing the required examination and that they were taught all the courses they attended in the English language.

Under cross-examination by Yunus Usman (SAN), the lawyer to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the witness revealed that they were not requested to submit their certificates to the Nigeria Army.

The Army General asked, “You submitted all your school certificates to the Nigerian Army when you were enlisted?”

This, the witness replied: “There was nothing of such.”
