Full Speech Of President Buhari’s New Year Broadcast

Buhari is set to address Nigerians later today.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday address the security situation in the country.

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement, said the address will be broadcast by 7pm.

The statement read, “Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 7pm.

“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.”

Meanwhile, Buhari’s address will come barely 48 hours after soldiers of the Nigerian Army opened fire on peaceful #EndSARS protesters camping at Lekki toll gate in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

This online news medium understands attack on the #EndSARS protesters in its wake, left “several” protesters dead and others injured according to videos published on Twitter by eyewitnesses.
