Confusion As APC Lists PDP Senator In Tinubu Campaign Council

Newsone reports that Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, the federal lawmaker representing the Enugu East Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, has been listed as a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, for the forthcoming 2023 election.

This online news platform had reported earlier reported that a few days before the official take-off of the 2023 campaign, the ruling party on Friday released its campaign council list.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council list, which comprises 422 members, was released by the PCC Secretary and a federal lawmaker, James Faleke on Friday, September 23, 2022.

On the Tinubu Campaign Council, Newsone Nigeria observed that Senator Chimaroke, who was elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was listed as member Directors and Secretaries of Directors in the council list.

The former Enugu State Governor who had severally attacked supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was sighted as number 350 on the council list.

Newsone recalls that the PDP Senator had in a series of tweets on his Twitter handle, described Tinubu as “the hardest working Politico of this generation”.

The former governor condemned the attack on the alleged ill-health of the former Lagos governor, saying that those mocking Asiwaju may also have their shares later.

“While my vote is covered by the Umbrella per my Party PDP and our Candidate, HE Atiku Abubakar, I take a bow for the hardest working Politico of this generation. He patiently paid his dues.

“Guess what, the Igbo are not going anyway. Rather in the spirit of their fathers and forefathers more are pouring into Lagos every day. Tinubu is qualified to run for president of Nigeria in 2023 as there is no evidence that he has dementia,” he tweeted.
