The exchange rate between the Naira and the US dollar according to the data posted on the FMDQ Security Exchange where forex is officially traded showed that the naira opened at N446.6976 per dollar on Thursday, 29 December 2022, after it closed at N446.638 per $1 on Wednesday, 28 December 2022. This represents a change of 0.05%.

The local currency opened at N742.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Thursday, 29 December 2022, in Lagos Nigeria, after it closed at N745.00 per $1 on Wednesday, 28 December 2022. This represents a change of N3 from the previous day.

News One Nigeria reports that in the black market, the players buy a dollar for N737 and sell for N742 on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Meanwhile, News One Nigeria reports that the USD started this week at ₦745 in Parallel Market also known as Black Market on Monday, December 26, 2022, in Lagos Nigeria, after it opened at ₦747 last week Monday, December 19, 2022.
