One of America’s finest singers and songwriter, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, better known, for her stage name, Beyonce, has just released her much- anticipated album tagged “The Lion King: The Gift.”
Yaahoo Journalist reports that the album project of the Houston born singer is a separate project from the film’s official soundtrack and was released on Friday, July 19.
Beyoncé, who rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the R&B girl-group Destiny’s Child, said in her remark about the project, that it was meant to be “a love letter to Africa.”
This online news medium understands that Beyoncé’s new album, The Lion King: The Gift is inspired by Disney’s Lion King movie.
Yaahoo Journalist reports that the album features contributions from musicians from African countries including South Africa, Cameroon, Ghana, and Nigeria.
African Artists featured on the album project include Tekno, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Shatta Wale, Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly.
