Favour Benson of JTAH Foundation Reaffirms Commitment to Ending Child Labour

JTAH Foundation Director, Favour Benson

Mrs. Favour Benson, Executive Director of Jashabel Touch-A-Heart Foundation (JTAH Foundation), in observance of the World Day Against Child Labour, has called for renewed urgency and united global action to eliminate child labour in all its forms.

This year’s theme, “Progress Is Clear, But There’s More to Do – Let’s Speed Up Efforts,” recognizes the strides made so far but highlights the critical need to double down on efforts to protect vulnerable children from exploitation.

Speaking on behalf of JTAH Foundation, Mrs. Benson stated:

“Every child deserves a safe childhood filled with love, education, and hope – not hardship and forced labour. While the world has made visible progress, millions of children still suffer silently. At JTAH Foundation, we believe that even one child in labour is one too many.”

Mrs. Benson emphasized the foundation’s unwavering commitment to advocacy, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts aimed at giving affected children a second chance at life. She also called on government bodies, community leaders, NGOs, and individuals to work together more deliberately and swiftly.

“It’s time to move faster. It’s time to act boldly. Let’s ensure our progress isn’t just visible, but lasting. Our children are not tools of labour – they are treasures of tomorrow,” she added.

About JTAH Foundation:
