Former Speaker Yakubu Dogara has dumped PDP for APC.
NewsOne Nigeria reports that the former Speaker of the House of Representatives returned to the All Progressive Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari.
Former Speaker Dogara, who defected to the PDP shortly before the 2019 general elections, was led to meet President Buhari at the State House on Friday by the chairman of the party’s Caretaker/National Planning Committee Governor Mai Mala Buni.
However, Yakubu Dogara did not speak with State House correspondents after the meeting but Buni confirmed he had rejoined the APC.
