JAMB 2020 Result checking has been made easy for the candidates that sat for the UTME 2020 as they can check JAMB result on phone without internet.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has provided additional information on how candidates can check their 2020 UTME results.

This burgeoning online news platform understands that the development follows complaints by some candidates that they are unable to check their results via the JAMB result checker portal.

Explaining why such candidates are unable to access their results, JAMB Head of Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, narrated that the board had to shut down the portal following an attempt by some fraudsters to alter results of candidates.

The JAMB Head of Media and Information, therefore, directed candidates who wrote the exam on Monday to check the result through text messages on their phone.

HOW TO CHECK UTME 2020 RESULTS

NewsOne Nigeria reports that candidates can check their JAMB UTME 2020 results by typing ‘RESULT’ and sending to 55019 with their registered telephone numbers for their scores.

The JAMB Head of Media and Information also denied that the board has cancelled the results of candidates that wrote the exam on Saturday and Monday.

His words: ”JAMB wishes to reassure all candidates who have written this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) so far that it has not cancelled any of its examination or results.

”All results that have been released so far are intact and therefore there is no need for any panic whatsoever, he said on Wednesday.

“They should not check their results on the internet as the portal had been shut, following an attempt by some fraudsters to alter results of candidates.

”The board is already investigating the activities of these criminals and will not fail to take very drastic action against those that are behind this,” Benjamin added.
