Though details of the demise of Ibidun Ighodalo (nee Ajayi), a former first Face of Lux pageant are hazy, a source, who is a close aide of her husband, confirmed the sad development.

“Yes, it’s true that she’s dead. She died this morning, but please don’t interview me,” the Nation newspaper source said, refusing to confirm if she was ill.

However, another report by THE WITNES has revealed the cause of Ibidun Ighodalo death. The report quoted a close member of the family to have said that  Ibidun Ighodalo cause of death was as a result of a cardiac arrest.

THE WITNESS gathered that the clergy’s wife who is also the chief executive officer of Elizabeth R, a leading public relations and events management company, died of cardiac arrest in the early hours of Sunday. A close member of the family confirmed the incident to our reporter.

What Is Ibidun Ighodalo Family Saying?

In a statement by Asue Ighodalo, the families of the deceased requested for privacy while mourning the late beauty queen.

“The Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of our beloved wife and daughter Mrs Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo who passed away in the early hours of today,” the statement read.

“As you will understand, this is a difficult time for our families and we will appreciate some privacy during this time. All information of burial proceedings will be provided in due course,” it added.

Meanwhile, Ibidun Ighodalo died at age 40 today, Sunday, June 14, 2020. The deceased is survived by her husband, Pastor Ituah Iguodala and her twins. The eye-turning Ibidun married Pastor Ituah Ighodalo 13 years ago, after the latter’s first wife left.
