Ifunanya Delilah, NBA has spoken on suspending Ifunanya Lawyer over nudity and weed.
Newsone reports that the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has responded to reports that it suspended a young female lawyer Ifunanya Grant Excel popularly known as Ifunanya Delilah for posting photos of herself either naked or smoking marijuana on social media.
This online news platform recalls that news had emerged suggesting that Ifunaya, a young female lawyer admitted to the bar on July 28, 2021, was suspended by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for misconduct after a provocative social media viral post celebrating her call to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court.
In a statement sent to BarristerNG.com, Miss Ifunanya Excel Grant Esq denied making the “Gangster and Stoner” post and blamed online scammers who stole her pictures to create a “catfish account” to Scam people.
According to her, she is not on any social media platform and didn’t make the Viral Facebook post.
“I AM NOT A GANGSTER or a stoner or anything of such”, the statement reads in part.
Miss Grant stated that she is an Instagram Model and not a practicing Lawyer at the moment. She explained that her pictures with cigars was part of her current work as Instagram Model and Actress and the pictures are for modeling and acting purposes only.

But notwithstanding her disclaimer, a look at the Instagram page of Miss Grant @Funaya_, shows that the message in the Viral post has a striking resemblance to the posts on her Instagram page where she post mostly sexually provocative and Sultry Videos and Pictures usually associated with Models.
NBA denies suspending Ifunanya Delilah also known as Ifunanya Lawyer
However, when asked about the development, Newsone Nigeria reports that the NBA denied the report, claiming that it never happened. The NBA’s leadership confirmed Wednesday, April 26, 2023, that she had not been penalized.
The National Publicity Secretary, Habeeb Lawal, stated that the information implying that action has been taken is completely false.
“No, we have not suspended her, we have not. However, we will issue a position on the matter”, the spokesperson added.
