President Tinubu Sets Date for Inauguration of Ministers

President Tinubu has set a date for the inauguration of Ministers.

Newsone reports that the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), has confirmed Monday, August 21, 2023, for the inauguration of 45 ministers by President Bola Tinubu.

This online news platform understands that the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation confirmed the date for the inauguration of Ministers hours after President Tinubu assigned portfolios to them.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Director of Information in the OSGF, Willie Bassey, said the inauguration will hold by 10 am at the State House Conference Centre, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Bassey, who signed for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, said the ministers have been informed to come to the inauguration venue with two guests each.

The statement reads: “Honourable ministers to be sworn in are expected to come with two guests each. All Honourable Ministers and invited guests are to be seated by 9 am.”

Newsone Nigeria had reported earlier that Tinubu Ministerial Portfolios released by the Presidency on Wednesday show that the President appointed himself as the Minister of Petroleum just like former President, Muhammadu Buhari did during his 8 years tenure.

The ministry has been broken into two, with 2 ministers of state, all from the South-South. Yusuf Tuggar is the foreign minister, Dele Alake Solid Minerals, Mohammed Idris Information Minister, Festus Keyamo will be in charge of aviation and aerospace development, while Nyesom Wike will be in charge of the FCT Ministry. The Ministry of Environment is being reserved for Kaduna state, northern Nigeria.
