A protest has hit Ondo State over Naira Scarcity.

Newsone reports that Protest has erupted in Akure, the Ondo State capital, over the refusal of commercial banks to receive old naira notes from customers as well as payout new naira notes.

This online news platform understands that the protest started at the First Bank, Alagbaka by angry customers who had waited for several hours without being attended to.

Newsone Nigeria reports that other banks in Akure have shut businesses to avoid being attacked this is even as roads were also barricaded by the angry protesters.
