The tribunal is set to deliver judgment on Peter Obi and Atiku’s petitions against Tinubu this week.

Newsone reports that the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has fixed Wednesday, September 6, 2023, to deliver judgment on petitions challenging the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria.

This online news platform understands Chief Registrar of the Court confirmed the judgment date on Atiku and Peter Obi’s petitions against Tinubu to journalists on Monday, September 4, 2023.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal had earlier merged the petitions submitted by the various political parties and their candidates while giving the pre-hearing report on the petitions and presenting the trial schedule.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal also reserved judgment on the petitions filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in order to deliver the judgments on the same day as that of Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
