A Lagos APC chieftain says there will be huge consequences if Nigeria continues to neglect the South-East.
Newsone Nigeria reports that Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, has warned that there will be huge consequences if Nigeria continues to neglect the South-East zone.
This online news platform understands that the Lagos APC chieftain disclosed this in a statement through his Facebook account on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Igbokwe’s comments come amid controversies that have trailed appointments under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Newsone recalls that Ali Ndume, a senator representing Borno South at the National Assembly, tackled President Tinubu’s administration, saying that his lopsided appointments could boomerang.
Reacting, Joe Igbokwe said, “If Nigeria continues to treat the South-east as if the zone does not exist or does not matter, the consequences will be huge. The civil war has ended, but the scars are still there. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Neglect of SE is bad.”
