Lagos Panel has commenced the review of CCTV footage of Lekki shootings.
NewsOne Nigeria reports that a Judicial Panel of Inquiry was set up by the Lagos State Government to probe the Lekki shootings as well as complaints of human rights abuses against members of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
On Friday, November 6, the Lagos panel commenced the review of the CCTV footage submitted by the Lekki Concession Company, operators of the Lekki toll gate.
The development is coming after Abayomi Omomuwa, the Managing Director of LCC, had submitted the video footage on Tuesday.
When did the Lagos Panel start reviewing the CCTV Footage?
NewsOne Nigeria learned that the Lagos panel led by retired Justice Doris Okuwobi began viewing the footage around 11:30am on Friday.
The CCTV Footage of Lekki shootings, which is currently being viewed, shows peaceful #EndSARS protesters at the toll gate on the night of October 20, 2020.
It also shows that the lights at the toll gate were on. For now, the footage has not shown the arrival of soldiers at the toll gate.
