In Today’s Latest Npower News For Wednesday 28th December 2022, we will be talking about the Npower programme future in terms of Npower stipend payment, and Npower permanency after the year 2022. So keep reading!

The silence from the Npower management Nasims team regarding the Npower programme has become a thing of concern for the Npower beneficiaries, a situation that is making them question the continuity of the programme come 2023.

The Npower programme has been a source of poverty alleviation for Nigerian youths who are fortunate to be selected to be part of the programme.

Though the payment of the monthly stipends for the Npower beneficiaries is usually been delayed, each time they get paid there is always a sign of relief from the beneficiaries.

At the moment the newly enrolled beneficiaries of the Npower batch C stream 2 have not been paid their stipends since they commenced duties at their various places of assignment in October 2022. Currently, they are been owed 3-month stipends.

Though the Federal Government is making efforts to make the Npower programme a permanent programme after this administration leaves office. This comes after the Federal Executive Council Approved NSIP Bill a few months ago.

2023 Countdown – A Review Of the Npower Programme

In today’s Latest Npower News, we will be reviewing all that has happened with Npower Programme in 2022 and the way forward. So keep reading!

It has been a long drive, patients, and endurance by the Npower beneficiaries with the Npower programme since the beginning of this year 2022, and the hustle still continues hopping for a better 2023.

A lot of things happened with both the exited Npower beneficiaries and the newly enrolled beneficiaries this year 2022. We will be discussing all this as you read along.

In accordance with the Federal Government plan to see that 1 million youths benefits from the Npower programme, new 500,000 youths were enrolled as beneficiaries under the Npower batch C stream 2 programme. All this happened in 2022.

At the same time, the 500,000 Npower batch C stream 1 beneficiaries earlier recruited in 2021 completed their service this year 2022 and were exited to make way for the Npower stream 2 beneficiaries to be deployed.

As we step into the year 2023, all unfinished business that has happened with the Npower programme in 2022 might still be Carried over into 2023. The continuity of the programme will depend on the NSIP bill if the para-venture new administration takes over the affairs of the Nation in 2023. The Npower programme was initiated by the federal government in 2016 to empower the vibrant youths of Nigeria with work experience and skill development that will make them employable or become entrepreneurs. Since the creation of the program, the program has empower over 1.5 million beneficiaries.

We hope that come 2023, the management of the Npower programme will do more with Npower and other NSIP Programme to help reduce poverty.
