Due to Coronavirus, Manchester United have dropped newly signed striker, Odion Ighalo, from their trip to Spain for a training camp.
It was learned that the former Super Eagles number nine was dropped due to fears that he could be denied entry back into the United Kingdom because of the coronavirus outbreak.
YaahooJournalist reports that there are currently three reported cases of the deadly coronavirus in the UK.
A club statement said: “The club can also confirm that, due to the current situation in China, it has been decided that new signing Odion Ighalo will not travel to Spain as it is not guaranteed that he’d clear UK immigration on return should border restrictions tighten on travellers who’ve been in China within the past 14 days.”
Manchester United head to Spain on Saturday for a warm-weather camp, English Premier League (EPL) mid-season break.
Ighalo who signed from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua on a six-month loan deal will remain in Manchester, where he will undergo a personal training and fitness programme.
