Newsone reports that the governor of Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial city, has invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join in the probe to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad.

This online news platform understands that the invitation by Governor Sanwo-Olu is coming a day after the Lagos Police Command on Monday inaugurated a 13-man probe panel following the directive of Gov Sanwo-Olu.

In a statement on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, the Lagos Governor sympathised with the MohBad’s family and fans.

“The Government commiserates with his family and fans. We feel the pains of losing such a talented and promising young man, who made a name for himself in a highly competitive industry. May the almighty grant his soul rest and comfort,” he said.

The 27-year-old musician’s death has been surrounded by a lot of controversies with netizens pointing the finger at his former record label, Marlians Record demanding justice.

The Governor asked for the contribution of the DSS to widen the investigation using best-in-class technology to unearth the truth. Following this request, the DSS has agreed to join the investigation so as to get justice for the singer’s family and fans.
